## Where Ridgeway Plaza is / what it is

The restaurant cluster around Ridgeway Drive, Platinum Drive and Odyssey Drive
at Eglinton Avenue West and Winston Churchill Boulevard in Mississauga — often
described as one of North America's largest concentrations of halal food —
plus ChefG on the Eglinton corner of the same intersection, which Halal Food
Pass counts as part of the cluster. Free surface parking; entrances from
Ridgeway Drive and the Platinum/Odyssey sections.

Sourced scale (checked August 3, 2026 — Wikipedia "Ridgeway Plaza" + the
plaza's own site): two adjoining centres (Erin Mills Centre north, Platinum
Centre south) in Churchill Meadows at Eglinton Ave W & Ridgeway Dr; ~277
units with roughly 115 restaurants occupying most of the space; opened
spring 2022; self-described North America's largest halal food market;
local police have cited up to 6,000 patrons at once on busy nights. Cuisine
leans Middle Eastern and South Asian plus burgers, fried chicken and dessert
shops. The Muslim Neighbour Nexus (MNN) mosque adjoins the plaza at 3520
Odyssey Dr (women's prayer area, on-site parking — confirm prayer times via
official channels).

## Restaurants and food at Ridgeway Plaza

Roughly 115 restaurants across the two centres — a browsing destination rather
than a single-restaurant errand. Categories that repeat across the cluster
(following the sourced cuisine range above, checked August 3, 2026):

- Karahi and BBQ — the Pakistani and South Asian kitchens the plaza is best
  known for, mostly in shareable family formats.
- Shawarma and Middle Eastern grills — wraps and plates.
- Mandi — Yemeni rice-and-meat platters built for a shared table.
- Burgers and fried chicken — the halal fast-food end; quickest for takeout.
- Juice bars, desserts and chai — a deep bench of spots, many open late.

This guide does NOT maintain a directory of all ~115 restaurants at the plaza.
The canonical page renders a LIVE roster of the Ridgeway restaurants listed on
Halal Food Pass, generated from the directory on every request, so its count and
membership change without this file changing. At the August 4, 2026 review the
five kitchens with Lime Card offers were Butt Karahi Ridgeway (Pakistani karahi
and BBQ), Monasaba (Yemeni mandi), ChefG / Gourmet of Karachi (Pakistani BBQ and
biryani), Boardwalk Burgers (halal burgers) and Billiard Lounge & Eatery (fried
chicken and fast food) — a subset of the plaza, not a ranking of it.

Since that review: Palau Kabab (Afghan grill and kebab, between Nablus Sweets
and Shawarma Plus) joined on August 11, 2026, taking the roster to six.

## Getting to Ridgeway Plaza (August 9, 2026)

Transit: MiWay Route 35 "Eglinton" stops at Eglinton Ave at Ridgeway Dr, at the
plaza. Eastbound it terminates at Kipling Bus Terminal — Kipling station on TTC
Line 2 — so the plaza is one bus from the end of the Bloor–Danforth subway.
Westbound it runs to Churchill Meadows Community Centre Terminal. Route 35 also
serves Erin Mills Town Centre, City Centre Transit Terminal, Dixie and Renforth.
Seven days a week; confirm current times with MiWay.

University of Toronto Mississauga is served by MiWay 110 University, 101 Dundas
Express, 1C Dundas and 44 Mississauga Road; its nearest GO stations are Erindale
and Clarkson. From downtown Toronto campuses: TTC Line 2 west to Kipling, then
MiWay 35.

Driving from Toronto: Highway 401 westbound, exit Winston Churchill Boulevard,
south to Eglinton Avenue West. From Brampton: Mississauga Road or Winston
Churchill Boulevard south. From the US: the Peace Bridge or Rainbow Bridge then
the QEW/403 toward Mississauga (Buffalo/western New York), or the Ambassador
Bridge or Detroit–Windsor Tunnel then Highway 401 east (Detroit/Michigan). All
travellers need a passport, NEXUS card or other WHTI-compliant document.

## Ownership and history

Approved 2021 · opened spring 2022 · registered as a commercial condominium in
March 2023. Because it is a commercial condominium, units are individually
owned rather than held by a single landlord — which is why news coverage refers
to the plaza's "owners" in the plural. Halal Food Pass publishes no individual
