# Is St-Hubert halal in Canada?

> Markdown copy of https://halalfoodpass.ca/is-it-halal/st-hubert/.
> Sources checked 2026-09-07; next review 2027-03-07. HFP reports attributed information and does not certify halal.

**Status: Unclear, no public statement**

St-Hubert's English and French FAQs describe local chicken sourcing without answering halal, and HFP found no St-Hubert entry in HMA's readable restaurant list. CHFCA's business list could not be read, so these limited findings do not establish absence from every certifier or the status of a particular restaurant.

## What this means before you order

St-Hubert's English and French FAQs describe local chicken sourcing but do not answer whether it is halal. Halal Food Pass read both on 7 September 2026. We also found no St-Hubert entry in HMA's readable restaurant list. CHFCA's business list could not be read, so we cannot report a result from it.

A local-sourcing statement does not identify a halal certifier or slaughter method. The FAQs discuss allergen precautions, which answer a different question from halal certification. Our finding concerns these named public sources, not an inspection of every St-Hubert restaurant or a claim that no evidence could exist elsewhere.

_Halal practice can differ between restaurants of the same chain, and suppliers change. Always confirm with the specific restaurant before you order._

## St-Hubert halal FAQs

### Is St-Hubert halal in Canada?

The public sources Halal Food Pass read on 7 September 2026 did not establish an answer. St-Hubert's English and French FAQs discuss chicken sourcing but do not state a halal position. That limited finding is not a declaration that its food is haram. Ask the particular restaurant for current supplier and certification evidence.

### Does St-Hubert's local chicken claim mean the chicken is halal?

No halal conclusion follows from the sourcing statement alone. St-Hubert's English and French FAQs, read on 7 September 2026, describe local chicken but do not specify a halal certifier or slaughter method. Origin and religious preparation are separate questions. Ask for the actual product certificate and consult a certifier you trust.

### Did HFP find St-Hubert in halal certifier registries?

HFP found no St-Hubert entry in the HMA restaurant list it read on 7 September 2026. The CHFCA business list could not be fetched, so there is no fresh result from that source. Neither outcome establishes absence from every certifier, and neither should be presented as a nationwide inspection of St-Hubert.

### Do St-Hubert's allergen precautions establish halal preparation?

No. St-Hubert's English and French FAQs read on 7 September 2026 discuss training and precautions to reduce allergen cross-contamination. Those answers do not identify halal products or describe a halal audit. Ask the restaurant separately about its meat supplier, current certificate and handling of your order; an allergen policy cannot answer those questions by itself.

### Where can I look for halal grilled chicken instead?

Use Halal Food Pass's [restaurant search](https://halalfoodpass.ca/) to look for grilled chicken options where you plan to eat. Our St-Hubert document review is dated 7 September 2026. Review each listing's evidence, then confirm the current supplier and preparation at that restaurant.

### When was this St-Hubert check performed?

Halal Food Pass read both language versions of the FAQ and checked the named registry sources on 7 September 2026. The CHFCA list remained unreadable, and that limitation is recorded rather than treated as a negative result. The next planned review is 7 March 2027; individual restaurant evidence can change sooner.

## Sources and what they cover

### St-Hubert English FAQ

Scope: Canada.

> St-Hubert is proud to offer local chicken in all its rotisseries, at all times.

The English FAQ answers sourcing, menu and allergen questions but contains no halal answer in the page we read. Local origin does not establish slaughter method or certification.

### St-Hubert French FAQ

Scope: Canada.

> St-Hubert est fier d’offrir des poulets de provenance locale en tout temps, dans toutes ses rôtisseries.

The French FAQ gives the corresponding local-sourcing statement. We found no halal answer in this readable page either. The excerpt describes provenance, not a halal standard.

### Halal Monitoring Authority, certified restaurants

Scope: Canada.

We read the restaurant list and searched it for St-Hubert on 7 September 2026 without finding an entry. Absence from this one certifier's list does not establish the chain's status under every certifier.

### CHFCA certified-businesses page

Scope: Canada.

The official CHFCA homepage linked this list, but the list could not be fetched in our check. This is a failed read, not a finding that St-Hubert is absent from CHFCA.

### St-Hubert corporate contact page

Scope: Canada.

The contact page names Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert Ltée. Its corporate identity and contact information do not establish halal certification.

## How we checked St-Hubert

On 7 September 2026, Halal Food Pass read the English and French FAQs, including their local chicken and allergen sections, and the corporate contact page. We read HMA's certified-restaurant list and found no St-Hubert entry. We opened CHFCA's homepage and followed its Certified Businesses link; that list could not be fetched. We do not turn that failed read into a registry absence. Our source selection follows [HFP's published halal-information method](https://halalfoodpass.ca/halal-information/).

**What we could not check:** Our review of the named sources took place on 7 September 2026. Neither FAQ displayed a publication date for its sourcing answer. The next scheduled review is 7 March 2027. Any location-specific certificate still needs to be checked against its current address, scope and validity.

Next review: 2027-03-07. [Report a correction](https://halalfoodpass.ca/contact/).

## How to read our halal labels

We publish what a chain says about itself, what a named halal certifier says about it, or what a specific restaurant says, and we say which. We do not publish community consensus, other directories' listings, or our own impressions. Where a chain says its food is not halal certified, that is what we print: certification is a paid third-party audit, and its absence is not a statement about slaughter method. Halal Food Pass reports halal information; it does not certify halal.
