The three ways, in short

- 2. Publish member offersCreate offers for Halal Food Pass members. You set the offer, days and times, and can pause it anytime. No commission.
- 3. Advertise with usReach halal diners through clearly labelled advertising and promotional opportunities on HFP. Never mixed into rankings.
Your restaurant in Canada's halal directory.
Halal Food Pass is a halal restaurant directory first. We list halal restaurants across Canada whether or not they work with us commercially, and every listing is free and stays free. A listing is a full page for your restaurant: opening hours that update live, your cuisines and dishes, your own halal information, photos, the address with directions, and a place in every city, cuisine and dish page it belongs to.
What a listing includes
Live opening hours and open or closed status, cuisines and dishes, your halal details in your own words, photos, address and directions, and your restaurant in the city, cuisine and dish pages people browse.
Who gets listed
Halal restaurants across Canada, curated by us and re-checked on a schedule. A listing has nothing to do with membership or advertising; it is the directory doing its job.
Already listed? Claim it
Open your restaurant's page and use the "Own this restaurant? Claim this page" link at the end of it, or contact us with the claim topic. Once confirmed, you keep the page current yourself.
Not listed yet? Ask us
Send the restaurant name and address through the contact form and we will add it. Anyone can also nominate a halal restaurant that is missing.
What it costs
Nothing. No listing fee, no contract, no minimum term. The listing is free before you claim it and stays free after.
What you can keep current
Hours, holiday closures, menu highlights, photos and your halal information. Halal details are provided by each restaurant; Halal Food Pass does not certify Halal.
Local halal diners in. Commission? Zero.
Separately from the listing, and only if you want to, you can publish an offer for members of the Lime Card, Halal Food Pass's dining membership. Members pay Halal Food Pass for the membership; you never pay us a commission or a fee. You choose the offer, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, a free item or a fixed deal, the days and hours it runs, and any terms, and you change or pause it anytime from your dashboard. The only thing you ever give is the discount you chose, and only when a member actually visits.

Members find you
Your offer appears on your listing and in the member offers rail, and live offers show first in search.

Reach halal diners, clearly labelled.
Halal Food Pass reaches people who are looking for halal food across Canada right now. If you want to put an opening, a new menu, a seasonal offer or an event in front of them, we offer advertising and promotional placements on the site and in our monthly email. Every placement is labelled as sponsored, and none of it changes how restaurants rank: search, the directory, the map and the Best-of lists are ranked on relevance and real diner behaviour, never on who pays.
What it can be
A sponsored feature in our news and guides, a place in the monthly email, or a promotion on the site around an opening, a seasonal menu or an event. We agree the placement with you case by case.
Always labelled
Sponsored placements say so, every time. Diners can always tell an advertisement from a directory result or a ranked list.
Never part of the ranking
Advertising never moves a restaurant up in search, the directory, the map or the Best-of lists. Those stay ranked on relevance and real diner behaviour.
How to start
Tell us what you have in mind through the contact form and choose the restaurant topic. We reply with what is available for it and what it would cost.
Owners usually ask…
Is the directory listing really free?
Yes. Every halal restaurant we list is listed free, whether or not it works with us commercially. There is no listing fee and no contract, and the page stays free after you claim it.
Do I have to publish a member offer to be listed?
No. The listing and the member offer are separate. Publish an offer only if you want Lime Card members choosing your restaurant; the listing stands on its own either way.
What does a member offer cost?
Nothing to join at launch, and we never charge commission. You only ever give the member discount you choose, and only when a member actually visits.
How do redemptions work?
A member shows you their live Halal Food Pass before they pay, and you apply the discount. No QR, no hardware, no scanner and no staff app, there is nothing to set up.
Do I have to offer it all the time?
No. Set the days, hours and terms, run 20% in off-peak windows only if you like, and change or pause the offer anytime from your dashboard.
Does advertising change how my restaurant ranks?
No. Search results, the directory, the map and the Best-of lists rank on relevance and real diner behaviour, never on who pays. Every promotion is labelled as sponsored and sits apart from those results.
Who is responsible for Halal claims?
You are. You provide your Halal details and we display them; Halal Food Pass does not certify Halal.
