Bake Time has announced a Scarborough grand opening for Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 1 p.m., at 1732 Lawrence Avenue East. The date and address appear on the Syrian bakery’s official website, checked on October 26.

The Lawrence East address adds a Scarborough stop to a business with two Mississauga locations: Dundas Street West and Village Centre Place. Its menu centres on manakeesh and small savoury pastries, alongside breakfast dishes and grilled meals.

What is on the menu?

The published menu includes zaatar, cheese, muhammara, sujuk and meat manakeesh. Small sfiha come in laban, tomato, and tomato-and-pomegranate versions. Larger meat flatbreads, falafel, hummus and breakfast dishes give visitors options beyond a single pastry.

Bake Time describes its food as made with halal ingredients. That is the restaurant’s own statement; Halal Food Pass does not certify restaurants. Ask the branch about ingredients or certification requirements that matter to you.

Plan a Lawrence East food stop

The announced event starts at 1 p.m. Although the website also displays regular daily hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., those hours should not be read as the grand-opening start time. Confirm service and menu availability before making a special trip. The Scarborough contact is 1-855-722-5384, extension 3.

For a first visit, consider ordering one herb-topped flatbread and one meat pastry to compare the bakery’s different styles. If ordering for several people, ask which items are sold individually and which are available in larger quantities.

The new address also makes a useful starting point for exploring the wider Lawrence East food corridor. Read HFP’s Wexford and Little Arabia food guide for nearby ideas, or browse Scarborough restaurants.

Source note: This is a report of the restaurant’s opening announcement and published menu, checked October 26, 2026. It is not a first-hand review or confirmation that the October 31 event has already taken place.
