About College Falafel
College Falafel is a small family-run Mediterranean counter at 450 Ossington Avenue, just north of College Street, run for about 25 years by a husband-and-wife team. It was one of the first Toronto spots to serve Halifax-style East Coast donair, added in 2004, with its sweet sauce. The rest of the menu covers falafel pitas and plates, chicken and lamb shawarma, curried potatoes and rice, salads and pickles, plus house-made baklava and galaktoboureko. The menu is listed as certified halal, with vegetarian and vegan choices, and catering is available. There are a few tables, and much of the trade is takeout.
