About Kunafa's
Kunafa's is a Palestinian pastry counter on Hurontario Street in Cooksville, built on cheese and dough recipes the owners travelled to the Levant to learn. The kunafa comes two ways: the soft Nabulsi original and a crisp Kishna-style version, both layered with stretched cheese and finished with sugar syrup. Beside them sit kunafa rolls filled with kishta cream, Bain Narain folding cheese into kashta, and awama. Turkish coffee and Moroccan mint tea are brewed through the day. Trays come out of the oven in view of the counter, and the shop runs late for dine-in, takeout and delivery.
