* Day 30, Mar 9, applies only if Ramadan completes 30 days. On smaller screens, Fajr, sunrise and Maghrib are omitted from the visual table. Fajr equals suhoor and Maghrib equals iftar under this method; all columns remain in the Markdown and print versions.

Calculation method and limitations

Coordinates: 53.5461, -113.4938. Timezone: America/Edmonton (UTC-6). Method: ISNA convention, Fajr at 15 degrees of solar depression, sunset for Maghrib and iftar. The calculation uses a standard horizon, with 0.833 degrees for sunrise and sunset, and rounds to the nearest minute. The displayed fasting duration is calculated from the rounded suhoor and iftar times.

The solar equations follow the NOAA/Meeus approach. A separate Astral 3.2 calculation checks the generated results. These are calculations, not observed sky conditions; buildings, the horizon, atmosphere and a mosque's chosen convention or margin can produce different times. NOAA's online calculator is no longer actively maintained. The equations and independent comparison are documented for review.

Alberta uses permanent Alberta Time, UTC-6, from November 2026. This timetable and its calendar events use that reviewed offset. If a calendar app still displays the former winter time, update its timezone data or select UTC-6 before comparing the event with this table.

The timetable is for central Edmonton, not every address in the surrounding region. Do not shift another city's timetable by a guessed number of minutes. Use the city you need and confirm your mosque's published times.

Planning restaurant iftar

Ramadan 2027 restaurant details are awaiting confirmation for this guide. No buffet, special menu, price or booking arrangement is asserted here. Ask the restaurant about your date, service time, menu and reservations before making plans.

Explore restaurants in Edmonton and browse by cuisine. The directory shows each restaurant's own information. For the evidence behind a halal claim, read how to check a restaurant.

Suhoor plans

Suhoor service has not been confirmed by this timetable. An ordinary late closing time does not establish Ramadan kitchen hours or last-order time. Confirm those details directly.

Family, student and prayer planning

Allow time for travel, food collection and any arrangements your group needs. Ask about seating and accessibility when relevant. Confirm mosque entry and prayer arrangements through the mosque's own announcement; this guide does not publish Taraweeh service times.

Common questions

When does Ramadan 2027 start in Edmonton?

The first fast is expected on 8 February 2027, with the opening evening on 7 February. Time and Date and IslamicCal were checked on 8 September 2026. These are planning dates, not a local moon-sighting announcement. Confirm the beginning of Ramadan with the mosque or religious authority you follow.

What time is iftar in Edmonton today?

During the planning window, the Today card shows the date's estimated iftar time for Edmonton in America/Edmonton. The first-day estimate is 6:30 p.m. on 8 February 2027. These are calculated sunset times, not an official mosque timetable. Refresh for a new page-load estimate and confirm locally before breaking your fast.

What time does suhoor end in Edmonton?

This timetable uses estimated Fajr at 15 degrees below the horizon as the suhoor cutoff. The first-day estimate for Edmonton is 7:28 a.m. on 8 February 2027. The calculation uses the coordinates and timezone listed on this page. Your mosque may use a different convention or safety margin; confirm its timetable.

Why is day 30 marked conditional?

The calendar sources currently place Eid al-Fitr on 9 March 2027 after 29 fasting days. A thirtieth day is included only as a planning alternative if Ramadan completes 30 days, followed by Eid on 10 March. These dates remain tentative. Follow the local announcement rather than treating the extra row as confirmation.

Can I download or print the timetable?

Yes. The calendar download contains estimated suhoor-end and iftar events for Edmonton, with the conditional last day identified and no default alarms. Calendar apps display the events in their selected timezone. You can also use your browser's print function; the print layout includes the daily table, method and confirmation notice.

Where can I find restaurants for iftar in Edmonton?

Use the linked Edmonton restaurant directory to explore places, then confirm Ramadan hours, menus, booking requirements and last-order times directly with the restaurant. This timetable has not confirmed any Ramadan restaurant plan. Ordinary opening hours and a directory listing do not establish that a kitchen is serving iftar or suhoor.

When was this timetable checked?

The calendar sources and calculation method were reviewed on 8 September 2026. Timings are generated from the stated coordinates using the ISNA 15-degree convention, with a separate calculation comparison recorded in our build evidence. That review is not a local moon-sighting confirmation, restaurant check or promise of continuous monitoring. Confirm the current official timetable locally.
