A little about this place
About Halibut King Whitby
Halibut King on Dundas Street in Whitby is an exact Maps match, but its official Facebook page exposed only an access-block response during the 2026-09-04 dish audit. No readable current restaurant-owned menu, post, caption or item-level dish name was established, so signature_dishes remains empty and no HFP, Google, review, directory, delivery-platform or unattributed dish names were substituted. On 2026-09-04, HFP directly matched the exact live Google Maps profile by displayed address and phone, captured its current rating and reconciled five-bin histogram, inspected 8 Most relevant and 8 Lowest reviews, and checked the literal About panel.
Visible praise centred on haddock, halibut and crisp fries; generous portions and reasonable prices; friendly service; cautions concerned strong fish-odour and freshness complaints; excess batter with little fish; inconsistent fish-and-chip quality. Google Maps About lists: wheelchair-accessible seating; wheelchair-accessible entrance; wheelchair-accessible parking lot; wheelchair-accessible washroom; washroom; free parking lot; free street parking; plentiful parking.
