What this means before you order
No, on Chick-fil-A's own word. The chain's United States customer-support page answers the question directly: “At this time, we do not have menu items that meet Halal standards.” Chick-fil-A Canada's own support page says its chicken is “sourced from the U.S.,” so the Canadian restaurants serve the same chicken the US statement is about. Chick-fil-A Canada has published nothing that says otherwise: on 15 September 2026 we read all 142 of its customer-support answers, and none mentions halal, kosher or religious slaughter. A chain that answers the question in the negative on its own site is taken at its word, as a chain answering yes would be.
The two sites are one company's. Chick-fil-A Canada runs a separate website with its own FAQ, and that FAQ does not carry the halal answer; it carries the sourcing answer that points back to the United States. No Canadian certifier lists a Chick-fil-A restaurant, and nothing on either site names a halal supplier or a certificate. If a Canadian restaurant ever tells you its chicken is halal, ask which supplier and which certificate, because the company's published position is that it has none.

What official sources establish
Chick-fil-A answers the halal question itself, on its United States website. Under Customer Support, Our Food, Nutrition and Allergens, the question “Does Chick-fil-A have any menu items that meet Halal standards?” is answered in one sentence: “At this time, we do not have menu items that meet Halal standards.” We read it on 15 September 2026.
We take a national chain at its word when it answers the halal question on its own site, whichever way it answers. Chick-fil-A says no, so this page says no. The statement sits on the US site, and the question for a Canadian reader is whether it reaches the Canadian restaurants. Chick-fil-A Canada's own support page settles that: its chicken is “sourced from the U.S.” The Canadian restaurants serve the chicken the US statement describes.
Chick-fil-A Canada has said nothing of its own on halal. Its support site is organised in seven categories and 142 answer pages; on 15 September 2026 we fetched every one and searched the text, and none mentions halal, kosher, zabiha or religious requirements. The 656-URL sitemap has no halal page. The Our Food answers cover allergens, gluten and dairy, kid's meals, vegetarian options, where the chicken is sourced, animal welfare, produce safety, free-range and organic (it is neither) and who supplies the coffee and potatoes.
No Canadian certifier lists a Chick-fil-A restaurant. On 15 September 2026 the Halal Monitoring Authority's certified-restaurant register, CHEC's certified-restaurant list and the entries ISNA Halal's directory displayed named none, which is what the chain's own statement would lead you to expect.
Locations and products
The statement is chain-wide and product-wide: no menu items meet halal standards. Chick-fil-A publishes no list of exceptions, and its Canadian restaurant pages carry hours, addresses and menus only. The chain counts more than 3,000 restaurants in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.
Because the Canadian chicken is sourced from US suppliers under the same company standards, we found no basis to treat a Canadian location differently from the published position. If a location tells you otherwise, ask for the supplier and the certificate.
Certification, ingredients and preparation
“No antibiotics important to human medicine,” cage-free barns and animal-welfare standards are welfare and quality claims. None of them is a halal claim, and Chick-fil-A does not present them as one.
A negative statement is still the chain's statement. Chick-fil-A could change its sourcing and its answer; until it does, the published position is that it has no halal items, and that is what this page reports.
Country of origin is not slaughter method. That the chicken comes from the United States tells you where it was raised and processed, not how it was slaughtered or whether a certifier oversaw it; the US answer supplies the missing part.
What Chick-fil-A has not said, and what to check before ordering
Not said by Chick-fil-A Canada as of 15 September 2026: anything about halal on its own Canadian site; whether the US answer will be added to the Canadian FAQ; and who its Canadian suppliers are.

On 15 September 2026 we read Chick-fil-A's US customer-support answer on halal first-hand. We enumerated Chick-fil-A Canada's sitemap (10 child maps, 656 URLs), fetched all 142 customer-support answer pages and searched each for halal, kosher, zabiha and religious, and read the sourcing, animal-welfare, free-range and locations answers in full. We read the Halal Monitoring Authority's certified-restaurant register, CHEC's certified-restaurant list and the entries ISNA Halal's directory displayed; Chick-fil-A appears on none. We searched for any Chick-fil-A Canada statement on halal from 2025 or 2026 and found none.
What we could not check: The halal answer is on the US site, not the Canadian one; the link to Canada is the Canadian sourcing answer. Chick-fil-A names no supplier. We have not called any restaurant.

How to read our halal labels
We report what a chain, a named certifier or a specific restaurant says, with the scope of that statement. Halal Food Pass does not certify halal.
A statement about chicken does not automatically cover the whole menu. A supplier certificate does not establish restaurant certification. A lack of published certification does not tell us how animals were slaughtered.
When a chain states publicly that its food is halal, we report that statement as the chain's own word, with its date, its scope and the certifier it names, and we treat it as standing until the chain withdraws it or evidence contradicts it. A claim that rests on unnamed phone calls or an anonymous post is reported as a claim, not as a finding.
