Aleppo Flame is a Syrian restaurant on Dundas Street East in east Mississauga, listed by Google simply as an Arab restaurant. The cooking leans Aleppian and the shawarma is the headline order, including a cheese chicken version. Off the grill, mixed grills and kebab platters are the other things worth ordering, and the mezze side of the menu arrives fresh rather than pre-made: hummus, fattoush, falafel, salads and cheese za'atar all hold up.
The floor is a genuine strength here, friendly and professional in a way that shows across the listing, and the room reads as classy and relaxed rather than functional. The caveat is value rather than cooking. Portions run smaller than the price sets you up to expect, and a mixed plate sold as a three-person order will not stretch that far.
Service draws its own separate criticism at the sharp end of the rating scale. The listing names no halal certifier.
