Damaski Palace sets a Damascene breakfast table: fatteh with ghee, oil or meat, foul with olive oil or tahini, hummus, egg plates and falafel by the plate. Manakish come out of the oven in zaatar, cheese, muhammara, spinach, labneh and chicken tawooq, with a Shamiya cheese pie of its own. Mezze runs to mutabbal, fattoush, fried kibbeh, sambousek and lentil soup, chicken musahab and mandi fill the later menu, and the sweets counter carries hareesa, baklava, barazek and maamoul. Turkish and Arabic coffee, ayran and pots of tea come alongside. It is a small, traditionally decorated room on Erin Mills Parkway in western Mississauga.
