ELLA Restaurant & Lounge cooks Levantine food over flame: kebab and tawouk skewers, lamb chops, lamb shank with spiced rice and toasted nuts, sayadiyah sea bream and mixed grills built for a table. Before them come cheese rolls with honey and pistachio, spiced beef kibbeh, shrimp kunafa, warak enab fatteh, falafel and a hummus bar running to avocado, beetroot and black angus beef. Manakeesh come out of the oven in zaatar, truffle and kafta versions, and baklava, kunafa and San Sebastián cheesecake close the meal. The Dundas Street East room carries a central bar, a patio, a private dining room, shisha and live music, and runs to midnight at weekends.
