Golden Dough Bakery & Grill works both sides of its name. From the oven come manakeesh in za'atar, cheese, kishek and beef; from the charcoal grill come shish tawouk, kafta and BBQ beef skewers, plated with garlic dip, tahini and grilled tomato and onion, and scaled up into family platters built from a dozen skewers or more. Chicken and beef shawarma run as both plates and sandwiches, and the appetiser list covers hummus, foul, moutabbal, lebaneh, fatteh and kebbeh. It opens at eight each morning on Dundas Street East in the Dixie area of Mississauga, with counter service, a free lot and free street parking.
