About Hamdi Restaurant
Hamdi is an East African and Somali kitchen built around grilled and stewed meat and fish: roasted goat, steak flat tenderloin, chicken steak, king fish, Atlantic salmon, and beef and chicken stews, each plated with vegetables and a choice of chapati, spaghetti or basmati rice. Large platters for two, three or four let a table mix several meats. Snacks run to buur, the Swahili mandazi, and dessert to Somali cake, halwa and milk cake, with Somali ginger tea and fresh mango juice to drink. The Ridgeway Plaza dining room opens early for breakfast and has been serving since 1996.
