Which Ridgeway restaurants take the Lime Card

Halal Food Pass currently lists six Ridgeway kitchens with member offers — a subset of the plaza, not a ranking of it: Butt Karahi Ridgeway (Pakistani karahi and BBQ), Monasaba (Yemeni mandi), ChefG (Gourmet of Karachi) (Pakistani BBQ and biryani), Boardwalk Burgers (halal burgers) Billiard Lounge & Eatery (fried chicken and fast food) and Palau Kabab (Afghan grill and kebab). Each has confirmed its halal status directly to Halal Food Pass. Beyond the food, the non-food directory

Only about 115 of the plaza’s ~277 units are restaurants. The rest — more than half of Ridgeway — is retail, health, personal services and leisure, and it is the part nobody has written down. The plaza’s own site carries a restaurant directory; its non-food categories return no listings, so there is no published roster to point people at.

So Halal Food Pass built one. The businesses below were read directly off their storefront signs in our own aerial photographs of the plaza, flown Tuesday 11 August 2026. Every name here is one we could read in a frame — nothing is copied from a listing site, and nothing is inferred from a map pin. It is a verified sample rather than the complete roster: the survey covered the storefront rows the flight passed low over, which is a fraction of ~162 non-food units.

Categories we can see at the plaza but have not yet named unit by unit: clothing and fashion, kids’ and family retail, pharmacy, phone and electronics repair, salons and barbers, and the indoor sports facilities used for cricket and football. Those rows are on the list for the next aerial pass.

The practical point for a food visit: a Ridgeway trip does not have to be only dinner. The grocery and butcher sit at the north corner by the Apna Farm end of the plaza, the jewellers and clinics share one row further south, and all of it is inside the same free surface parking described in the parking section — so a meal, a grocery run and an errand are one stop, not three.

What Ridgeway Plaza is

Ridgeway Plaza is really two adjoining centres — Erin Mills Centre on the north side and Platinum Centre to the south — and the wider cluster this guide covers spans Ridgeway, Platinum and Odyssey Drives. It holds about 277 units, roughly 115 of them restaurants. It was approved in 2021, opened in spring 2022 and was registered as a commercial condominium in March 2023 — so units are individually owned rather than held by a single landlord, which is why news coverage refers to the plaza's "owners" in the plural. It bills itself as North America's largest halal food market, and local police have said busy nights can draw up to 6,000 people at once — consistent with HFP's experience that Friday and Saturday evenings are hardest for parking.

The cuisine mix leans Middle Eastern and South Asian — shawarma, karahi, mandi, BBQ — alongside burgers, fried chicken, juice bars and a deep bench of dessert-and-chai spots; the current Lime Card kitchens in this guide cover Pakistani karahi, Yemeni mandi, halal burgers, fried chicken and daily-special Karachi cooking. Getting to Ridgeway Plaza

The plaza is at Eglinton Avenue West and Ridgeway Drive, just east of Winston Churchill Boulevard. It was built around the car — the City’s transportation review of the site noted limited parking, thin local bus service and a layout that prioritises driving. Driving is the normal way in, but there is one clean transit route.

By transit

MiWay Route 35 “Eglinton” runs along Eglinton Avenue West and stops at Eglinton Ave at Ridgeway Dr, at the plaza. Eastbound it terminates at Kipling Bus Terminal — Kipling station on TTC Line 2 — so from anywhere on the Bloor–Danforth subway the plaza is one bus from the end of the line. Westbound it runs to Churchill Meadows Community Centre Terminal. It operates seven days a week; check MiWay for current times before travelling.

Route 35 also serves Erin Mills Town Centre, City Centre Transit Terminal, Dixie and Renforth, so most MiWay journeys reach Ridgeway with a single transfer onto the 35.

From the universities

• University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) — the closest campus. UTM is served by MiWay 110 University, 101 Dundas Express, 1C Dundas and 44 Mississauga Road; transfer onto the 35 for Eglinton. UTM’s nearest GO stations are Erindale and Clarkson. There is a separate halal food near UTM guide for what is closer to campus.
• U of T St. George and Toronto Metropolitan — Line 2 west to Kipling, then MiWay 35 westbound. One subway, one bus.
• York University — Line 1 south to Bloor–Yonge, Line 2 west to Kipling, then the 35.
• Sheridan, McMaster and campuses further out — driving is usually the practical option; see below.

By car

• From Toronto — Highway 401 westbound, exit at Winston Churchill Boulevard, then south to Eglinton Avenue West. Eglinton Avenue West also runs the whole way if the highways are backed up.
• From Brampton — Mississauga Road or Winston Churchill Boulevard south to Eglinton Avenue West.
• From Oakville and the west — the QEW or Highway 403 towards Mississauga, exiting at Winston Churchill Boulevard.

Parking is free surface parking, with entrances from Ridgeway Drive and the Platinum / Odyssey Drive blocks. When it is easiest matters more than which entrance.

Praying while you are there

The Muslim Neighbour Nexus (MNN) mosque adjoins the plaza at 3520 Odyssey Drive and has a women's prayer area and its own parking, so many visitors plan a meal around a prayer. Halal Food Pass does not publish prayer times — confirm them through MNN's own official channels, and note that its parking serves the mosque rather than the plaza.

Coming from the United States

Ridgeway draws cross-border visitors, and two crossings are the practical ones:

• From Buffalo and western New York — the Peace Bridge (Buffalo–Fort Erie) or the Rainbow Bridge (Niagara Falls), then the QEW around the lake through St. Catharines, Hamilton and Oakville, following the QEW/403 towards Mississauga and exiting at Winston Churchill Boulevard.
• From Detroit and Michigan — the Ambassador Bridge or the Detroit–Windsor Tunnel into Windsor, then Highway 401 east the whole way, exiting at Winston Churchill Boulevard and heading south.

Everyone in the vehicle needs a passport, NEXUS card or other WHTI-compliant document. Border waits vary widely by day and hour — check the CBSA published border wait times before setting off. Worth knowing: Friday and Saturday evenings are also the plaza’s busiest hours, so an evening arrival can mean queueing twice.

When is the best time to visit Ridgeway Plaza?

A weekday lunch or afternoon. From HFP’s own experience of the plaza (reported August 3, 2026), weekday lunches and afternoons are slow with easier parking, Friday and Saturday evenings make parking genuinely hard to find, and Sunday afternoons sit in between — and the offer schedules point the same way: most Ridgeway windows run weekday lunch through early evening, with several closing between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., so arriving 30–60 minutes before an offer's end time leaves room for parking and ordering.

Eid and public holidays

The two Eids are the biggest food occasions in the Muslim calendar, and Ridgeway is a destination plaza — so plan for the top of its known range rather than an ordinary day. What is on the record: local police have said busy nights here can draw up to 6,000 people at once, and the City’s transportation review found parking already operating close to capacity on ordinary evenings and weekends. Eid sits at that end of the scale, not the middle.

Two things can change on the day itself, and the live sections above handle both better than anything written here can:

• Hours may move. If a kitchen changes its opening times around Eid, the live cards read each restaurant’s published schedule at the moment you load the page — so they, not this paragraph, are the source of truth that day.
• Offers can pause. A restaurant may suspend its Lime Card discount over a peak period. A paused offer drops off this page automatically, so what you see is what is actually redeemable.

Prayer draws its own crowd. The MNN mosque adjoining the plaza holds Eid prayer, and the surrounding roads and lots are busiest immediately before and after it. When to think twice

It depends on what you're there for — busy periods can be exactly right for atmosphere and variety. What the offer data and HFP’s plaza experience support:

• Avoid Friday and Saturday evenings when the priority is a fast collection — in HFP’s experience parking is hardest to find then; those slots are for atmosphere, not speed. Weekday lunch and afternoon are the quick-visit windows.
• Avoid arriving shortly before an offer expires — several windows here end at 3, 6 or 7 p.m.; the cards below show each end time, and redemption right at the deadline is not guaranteed.
• Avoid assuming restaurant hours equal discount hours — kitchens in this cluster run late, but the discounts don't.
• Avoid bringing a large group, or expecting offers to stack, without reading the card — one Lime Card covers up to six people, at least one current offer requires a table booking, and offers that prohibit combining with restaurant promotions say so. Where nothing is stated, ask staff before ordering.

Parking at Ridgeway Plaza

What can be stated today from addresses and plaza layout: the cluster is free surface parking reached from Ridgeway Drive (the section south of Eglinton Avenue West, home to the plaza's original strip) and from the Platinum Drive / Odyssey Drive blocks on the Churchill Meadows side, with arrivals working via Eglinton Avenue West or Winston Churchill Boulevard. The six current Lime Card restaurants sit within the cluster's sections, so parking once and walking between them is realistic for most visits.

The pattern, from HFP’s experience of the plaza (reported August 3, 2026): weekday lunches and afternoons are the easy-parking windows, Friday and Saturday evenings are when a spot is genuinely hard to find, Sunday afternoons are moderate. Conditions vary by day, weather, holidays and local events — nothing here is a guarantee. The City’s own review of the site found parking operating close to capacity on evenings and weekends, which matches what the team sees.

What that looks like in numbers. The City of Mississauga’s Ridgeway Plaza parking study counts 1,650 spaces across the cluster — 901 at Platinum and 749 at Odyssey. Its survey of May 1–3, 2025 recorded weekend peak demand of 893 of the 901 at Platinum and 747 of the 749 at Odyssey: ten free spaces out of 1,650 at the busiest moment, with the study finding both plazas meet capacity during the weekend peak period. That is what “hard to find a spot on a Saturday evening” means once somebody counts it.

A dated observation rather than a claim: across that flight, between 7:33 and 8:11 PM on Tuesday 11 August 2026, there were open spaces in every section, including directly in front of the Lime Card kitchens. That is a weekday evening, and it should not be read as anything more — the weekend pattern above still stands. Compare dollar savings, not only percentages

Check restaurant specials before using the Lime Card

Some kitchens here run their own public specials — ChefG, for example, posts a rotating daily special on its social pages. A special can sometimes beat the regular item after the Lime Card discount, so check the specials board before assuming the card is the cheaper route — the honest move is whichever saves more that day.

Plan around the discount window, not the kitchen's hours

Four different clocks matter: the restaurant's opening hours, the Lime Card offer window, the kitchen's closing time, and the last-order time where the restaurant states one. At Ridgeway the gap is real — kitchens that serve past midnight can have discounts that end at 6 p.m. The live cards show the offer window; the restaurant's listing shows its hours.

Use one card for the group, and order to share

One active Lime Card covers up to six people per visit, subject to each offer's terms — for a shared table that means one membership, not one each. Karahi, mandi and platters are built for sharing, and a percentage discount on one big shared order saves more dollars than the same percentage on a solo meal. Check the dashboard's Available right now row before leaving; call or order ahead where the restaurant supports it; park in the section nearest your restaurant (entrances above); collect and go. If a card shows its window ending within the hour, add margin — redemption at the buzzer isn't guaranteed.

Early dinner before the crowds

Several Ridgeway windows sit in the 3–7 p.m. band. Aim to arrive at least 30 minutes before the end time on the card of the restaurant you want; the dashboard's Suggested arrival row computes this for the soonest-ending live offer.
