Mad Ox BBQ is a halal Texas-style smokehouse on Erin Mills Parkway in Mississauga, smoking Angus beef over oak, hickory, cherry and apple wood. Angus brisket goes on for up to sixteen hours and anchors the pit plates, joined by beef back ribs, Brazilian tri-tip, smoked lamb ribs and a Cajun-marinated smoked chicken leg quarter. Handhelds run to a wagyu burger, a brisket sami, a Nashville hot chicken sando and birria beef tacos with consomme, with smoked wings and charred street corn to start. Sharing platters are built for three or four. Drinks are mocktails and sodas; reservations are recommended.
